Overview:
Discover the art of character transformation in this immersive three-day Mask Making workshop. Designed for creatives with an interest in prosthetics, theatre, seasonal events or character design, this course introduces the traditional techniques behind crafting bespoke latex masks from concept to completion.
Under expert guidance, you’ll learn how to sculpt, mould and paint a fully realised character mask while gaining an understanding of the materials, tools and safety practices used within professional environments. Historical context and industry applications are woven throughout the course, giving you a deeper appreciation of this specialised craft.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a completed custom mask and the foundational knowledge needed to continue developing characters for performance, display or creative projects.

Where do the workshops take place?

Do I need to bring anything?
All products, tools and brushes are provided. For practical sessions, we recommend bringing a smartphone or camera to photograph your work.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Upon completion, you will receive an official Kryolan Certificate of Attendance. Please note this is not a formal make-up qualification.

Will a model be provided?
Models are not provided. For practical sessions, you may work on yourself or another attendee.

What if I need to cancel?
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Full details can be found in the cancellation policy sent with your booking confirmation.

Can I use my Pro Card discount?
Due to the high costs of running this course Pro Card Discounts are unable to be applied.

Do I receive a discount on the day?
